General Situation
The southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. Meanwhile, the low-pressure cell covers upper Vietnam and the Gulf of Tonkin. More rains are likely in the upper country and isolated heavy rains are possible in the Northeast, the East and the South(west coast) regions. People in the area should beware of the severe condition.
In addition, severe tropical storm MA-ON over the upper South China Sea is expected to make landfall over southern China by 25 August without a direct effect on Thailand.
