The monsoon trough lies across Myanmar, upper portion of the North and upper Laos into the low-pressure cell over the coast of upper Vietnam and the Gulf of Tonkin. Meanwhile, the southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. Isolated heavy rains are forecast in the upper North, Northeast and the lower South. People should beware of the severe conditions.
