General Situation
The rather strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf. Meanwhile, typhoon NORU cover central Vietnam. Torrential rains are likely in the overall country, and isolated heavy to very heavy rains with strong wind are possible for the Northeast, the Central including Bangkok and its vicinity, the East and the South (west coast) regions. People should beware of the severe conditions that may cause flash floods and overflows, especially along the foothills near waterways and lowlands.
The wind and waves in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf are 2-3 meters high and in thundershowers above 3 meters high. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. Small boats keep ashore lasting 1 October.
In addition, typhoon NORU made landfall over Hoi An, Vietnam was due 70 km east of Sekong, Laos or latitude 15.9 degrees North and longitude 108.1 degrees East. It will then weaken to a tropical storm before passing lower Laos and further on 29 September the lower Northeast of Thailand in Amnat Charoen and Ubon Ratchathani. Thereafter, it will weaken to a tropical depression.

Surin, Sisaket and Ubon Ratchathani.

Central Part Scattered thundershowers with isolated heavy rains and strong winds in Lop Buri, Saraburi, Sing Buri,
Ang Thong and Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya.

Eastern Part Fairly widespread thundershowers with isolated heavy rains and strong winds in Nakhon Nayok,
Prachinburi, Sa Kaeo, Chanthaburi and Trat.

Southwesterly winds 20-40 km/hr.
Wave height 2-3 meters and above 3 meters in thundershowers.
Southern Part (East Coast) Scattered thundershowers mostly in Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon,
Surat Thani and Nakhon Si Thammarat.
Minimum temperature 22-25 C. Maximum temperature 32-34 C.
Surat Thani northwards: Southwesterly winds 20-40 km/hr.
Wave height 2-3 meters high and offshore above 3 meters high.
Nakhon Si Thammarat southwards: Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr.
Wave height about 2 meters high and offshore above 2 meters high.
Southern Part (West Coast) Fairly widespread thundershowers with isolated heavy to very heavy rains rains in Ranong,
Phang Nga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun.

Phuket northwards: Southwesterly winds 20-40 km/hr.
