During 30 Sep ? 3 Oct 2022, the monsoon trough lie across Myanmar into the active low-pressure which is downgraded from NORU remains over the lower North, the upper Central and the Northeast. Meanwhile, the rather strong southwest monsoon prevail over the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf. Continuous rains with isolated heavy rain are possible in the North, the Northeast, the Central including Bangkok and its vicinity, the East and the South. The rather strong wind and waves in the upper Andaman Sea are 2-3 meters high and about 3 meters in thundershowers while the waves in the Gulf are about 2 meters high and above 2 meters offshore. During 4 ? 6 Oct 2022, the high pressure from China will extend to the North, the Northeast and the South China Sea leading to the monsoon trough will lie across the lower Central and the East while the southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea and the South will weaken. Less rain are forecast for the North and the Northeast while isolated heavy rain in the lower North, the Central including Bangkok and vicinity, the East and the South. The moderate wind and waves in the Andaman Sea are about 2 meters high and above 2 meters in thundershowers while the waves in the Gulf are 1 - 2 meters high and about 2 meters offshore.
Warning
People should beware of heavy rains and its accumulation with gust that may cause flash floods and overflows, especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. Small boats in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf keep ashore until 2 Oct 2022.
