Weather Outlook During 25 - 31 Jan 2023
During 26 - 27 Jan 2023, the high-pressure which cover the upper Thailand and the South China Sea is weaken. Cool to cold and fog are likely in the upper country. During 28 - 31 Jan 2023, another strong high-pressure system from China will extend to upper Thailand and the South China Sea with cool to cold weather and strong wind. The temperature will decrease by 2 - 4 C in the upper Thailand. The strong northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf of Thailand and the South with isolated heavy rains in the lower South. The strong wind forces the waves in the Gulf of Thailand up to 2 - 4 meters high and above 4 meters high in thundershowers while 1 - 2 meters high in the Andaman Sea and about 2 meters high offshore.
Caution
People in upper Thailand should keep healthy due to the cool to cold weather and beware of fire due to strong winds and dry air. People in the lower South should beware of heavy rains. People along the Gulf shore should beware of inshore surges. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. Small boats in the Gulf should keep ashore throughout the period.
