General Situation

The heat low covers upper Thailand and the southerly wind bring the humidity from the South China Sea and the Gulf to the lower Northeast, the lower Central and the East regions. These lead to hot and haze during the day over the whole country, and isolated thundershowers are also possible. Meanwhile, the westerly wind at high altitude moves pass the upper North with cool to cold condition. People should keep healthy due to the variable weather. In addition, the weak easterly and the southeasterly winds prevail over the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea with less rain in the South. Another rather strong high-pressure system from China extend to middle China, it is expected to cover upper Thailand and the South China Sea during 14 ? 17 February 2023 while hot weather occur in the upper country. During 16 ? 17 February 2023, the westerly trough will move pass the North and the upper Northeast of Thailand caused Thunderstorm with gusty winds and hails will be likely in the upper country in the first period after that temperature will decrease and strong wind. A decrease in temperature by 3 - 5 C is likely in the Northeast while 1 ? 3 C decrease in temperature is likely in the Central including Bangkok and its vicinity and the East region.

Eastern
Day hot and haze. Isolated thundershowers mostly in Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat. Minimum temperature 23-26 C. Maximum temperature 31-36 C. Southerly winds 10-30 km/hr. Wave below 1 meter and about 1 meter offshore.
Southern (East Coast)
Isolated thundershowers mostly in Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat. Minimum temperature 21-25 C. Maximum temperature 30-34 C. Southeasterly winds 10-30 km/hr. Wave below 1 meter and above 1 meter in thundershowers.
Southern (West Coast)
Isolated thundershowers mostly in Krabi and Satun. Minimum temperature 22-26 C. Maximum temperature 32-36 C. Easterly winds 10-30 km/hr. Wave below 1 meter and above 1 meter in thundershowers.
Bangkok Metropolitan
