Weather Outlook During 21 - 27 Feb 2023
During 22 - 24 Feb 2023, the high-pressure system which covers the upper Thailand is decline while the northwesterly wind prevails over the North and the Central cause the upper Thailand still cool to cold and slightly drop in temperature in the North and the Northeast. The weak northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf of Thailand, the South and the Andaman Sea with isolated thundershowers. The wind and waves in the lower Gulf are 1 - 2 meters high and above 2 meters in thundershowers. The wind and waves in the upper Gulf and the Andaman Sea are below 1 meter and about 1 meter in thundershowers. During 25 - 27 Feb 2023, the rather strong high-pressure system from China will extend to the upper Thailand. The weather still cool to cold in the morning with windy and 2 - 5 C drop in temperature. The northeast monsoon will strengthen. Isolated thundershowers still present in the South while the wind and waves in the Gulf are 2 - 3 meters high and above 3 meters in thundershowers. The wind and waves in Andaman Sea 1 - 2 meters offshore.
Caution
People in the upper country should keep healthy due to variation weather. During 25 - 27 Feb 2023, all ships in the Gulf and the Andaman Sea should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers area, small boats in the Gulf keep ashore.
