During 23 - 24 Feb 2023, the moderate high-pressure system covers the upper Thailand cause the upper Thailand still cool to cold in the morning. The northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf of Thailand, the South and the Andaman Sea with less rain. The wind and waves in the lower Gulf are 1 - 2 meters high and above 2 meters in thundershowers. During 25 - 27 Feb 2023, the strong high-pressure system from China will extend to the upper Thailand amd the South Chaina Sea. The weather in upper Thailand will be cool to cold in the morning with windy and 2 - 4 C drop in temperature. The northeast monsoon will strengthen. More rains and Isolated heavy rains are forecast in the lower South while the wind and waves in the Gulf are 2 - 4 meters high and above 4 meters in thundershowers. The wind and waves in Andaman Sea are 1 - 2 meters offshore. During 28 Feb - 1 Mar 2023, The high-pressure system over upper Thailand is weakening causing temperature rise with morning fog. The rather strong northeasterly wind prevails over the Gulf and the South. Isolated thundershowers with heavy rain are forecast in the lower South. In the lower Gulf the rather strong wind forces the waves 2 - 3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers.
Caution
During 25 Feb - 1 Mar 2023, people in the upper country should keep healthy due to variation weather. People in the lower South should beware of the severe condition. Residents along the South (east coast) should beware of inshore surges. All ships in the Gulf and the Andaman Sea should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers area, small boats in the Gulf keep ashore through the period.
