General Situation

The moderate high pressure system covers upper Thailand, and the westerly wind at high altitude prevails over the North with cool to cold while morning cool is likely in the Northeast, the Central and the East regions. The northeast monsoon and the easterly wind prevail across the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea is weaken. There are less rains in the South. The waves in the lower Gulf 1-2 meters high and in thundershowers more than 2 meters high. From 25 to 28 February 2023, the intense high pressure system from China will extend to upper Thailand and the South China Sea with cooler condition. The temperature will decrease by 2-5 C with strong winds. People should keep healthy and beware of fire. The northeast monsoon across the Gulf and the Andaman Sea will be stronger with more rain and isolated heavy rains are possible in the South. The strong wind forces the waves up to 2-4 meters high in the Gulf and more than 4 meters high in thundershowers. The waves in the Andaman Sea are likely 1-2 meters high. All ships proceed with caution, and keep off thundershowers. Small boats in the Gulf keep ashore and beware of inshore surges.

Southern (East Coast)
Isolated thundershowers mostly in Songkhla, Yala and Narathiwat. Minimum temperature 21-25 C. Maximum temperature 31-33 C. Surat Thani upwards: Northeasterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter Nakhon Si Thammarat downwards: Easterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershowers.
Southern (West Coast)
Isolated thundershowers mostly in Phangnga, Phuket and Krabi. Minimum temperature 22-25 C. Maximum temperature 32-35 C. Easterly winds 10-30 km/hr. Wave height below 1 meter and above 1 meter in thundershowers.
Bangkok Metropolitan
Partly cloudy. Minimum temperature 22-25 C. Maximum temperature 33-35 C. Northeasterly winds 10-20 km/hr.
