During 2 - 5 Mar 2023, another high-pressure system from China will extend to cover upper Thailand and the South China Sea. The weather in upper Thailand will be cool to cold in the morning with windy and slight drop in temperature. The rather strong northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf and the South with isolated heavy rains in the lower South. The wind and waves in the upper Gulf of Thailand are likely about 2 meters high and above 2 meters in thundershowers. During 6 - 7 Mar 2023, the high pressure from China will weaken with increasing in temperature while morning cool and fog are likely in the upper country. The rather strong northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf, the South and the Andaman Sea with less rain. The wind and wave in the lower Gulf are likely 1 - 2 meters high and about 2 meters high in thundershowers.
Caution
During 2 - 5 Mar 2023, people in the lower South should beware of heavy rain and accumulated. All ships in the Gulf should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers.
