General Situation

The moderate high-pressure system from China extend to the lower portion of China and upper Vietnam. It is expected to covers the eastern portion of the Northeast and the South China Sea by today (7 Apr 2023). As a result, the stronger southerly and the southeasterly winds bring the moisture from the Gulf and the South China Sea to the upper country where hot to very hot weather occur. Outbreak of summer storms accompanying with thunderstorms, gusty winds, hail and lightning strikes are likely in the upper country People in the upper country should beware of severe conditions by keeping off outdoor places, big trees and unsecured billboards. Farmers should prevent for crop damage. For today (7 Apr 2023), the heat low covers upper Thailand. Hot weather is likely over the upper country and very hot weather is possible in the North and the Central regions. People in the upper country should keep healthy due to hot weather. The northwesterly and the southeasterly winds prevail across the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf with isolated heavy rains in the lower South (east coast).

Isolated thunderstorms with gusty winds and hail mostly in Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Chaiyaphum, Maha Sarakham, Mukdahan, Roi Et, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, Surin, Sisaket and Ubon Ratchathani. Minimum temperature 20-25 C. Maximum temperature 36-38 C. Southeasterly winds 10-20 km/hr.
Central
Hot and day haze. Very hot in some places. Isolated thunderstorms with gusty winds mostly Lopburi, Saraburi and Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya. Minimum temperature 25-27 C. Maximum temperature 36-41 C. Southwesterly winds 10-20 km/hr.
Eastern
Day hot and haze. Scattered thunderstorms with gusty winds and hail mostly in Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Sa Kaeo, Chachoengsao, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat. Minimum temperature 25-29 C. Maximum temperature 30-37 C. Southterly winds 10-30 km/hr. Wave below 1 meter and in thundershowers more than 1 meter.
Southern (East Coast)
Day hot. Isolated thundershowers mostly in Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Songkhla, Yala and Narathiwat. Minimum temperature 22-26 C. Maximum temperature 32-36 C. Southeasterly winds 10-30 km/hr. Wave below 1 meter and in thundershowers more than 1 meter.
Southern (West Coast)
Day hot. Isolated thundershowers in Krabi, Trang and Satun. Minimum temperature 23-27 C. Maximum temperature 33-36 C. Northwesterly winds 10-30 km/hr. Wave below 1 meter and in thundershowers more than 1 meter.
Bangkok Metropolitan
Day hot and haze. Isolated thunderstorms with gusty winds. Minimum temperature 27-29 C. Maximum temperature 33-37 C. Southerly winds 10-20 km/hr.
