During 11 - 17 April 2023
During 11 - 14 Apr, the heat low covers upper Thailand with hot to very hot and haze during the day. At the same time, the southerly wind prevails over the lower Northeast and the East. Isolated thundershowers and gusty winds are likely in the upper country. The easterly wind prevails over the Gulf, the South and the Andaman Sea. Less rains and isolated thundershowers are likely in the South. During 15 - 17 Apr, the moderate high-pressure system from China will extend to the Northeast and the South China Sea leading to the strengthening southerly and the southeasterly winds from South China sea and Gulf of Thailand prevail over upper Thailand. Meanwhile, hot to very hot weather occurs over the upper country. Outbreak of summer storms with gust and hail will begin in the upper Northeast at the first stage, then the rest regions. The northwesterly wind remains over the Andaman Sea and the South with isolated thundershowers in the South.
Caution
During 15 - 17 Apr, people in the upper country should beware of the severe condition by keeping off open-air, big trees and unsecured billboards, and farmers should prevent for crop damage.
