During 29 Apr - 1 May, the moderate high-pressure system from China will extend to the upper Thailand and the South China Sea leading to the strengthening southerly and the southeasterly winds bring the moisture from the South China Sea and the Gulf of Thailand to upper Thailand. Meanwhile, hot to very hot weather occurs over the upper country. Outbreak of summer storms accompanying with thunderstorms, gust and hail are likely in the upper country. During 2 - 4 May, the moderate high-pressure system over upper Thailand and the South China Sea becomes weaker. At the same time, the weakening southerly and the southeasterly winds prevail over the upper Thailand while the westerly wind at high altitude prevails over the North and the upper Northeast. Hot to very hot weather over Thailand. Isolated thundershowers with gusty winds are possible in the upper country. During 28 - 29 Apr, the easterly and the southeasterly winds prevail across the Gulf, the South and the Andaman Sea with isolated thundershowers. The wind and wave in the Gulf are below 1 meter and about 2 meters in thundershowers. During 30 Apr - 4 May, the strengthening easterly and the southeasterly winds prevail across the Gulf, the South and the Andaman Sea with more rains and isolated heavy rains in the South. The strengthening wind and wave in the Gulf are about 1 meter and above 2 meters in thundershowers.
Caution
People in the country should keep healthy due to hot weather throughout the period. During 29 Apr - 1 May, people in the upper Thailand should beware of the severe condition by keeping off open area, big trees and unsecured billboards. Avoid wearing metal decorations and using cell phone in thunderstorm. Farmers should prevent for crop and livestock damage. During 30 Apr - 2 May People in the South and the Gulf should beware of severe conditions and all ships in the Gulf should proceed with caution and small boat should keep off thundershowers.
