During 3 - 7 May, The heat low covers the upper Thailand causes hot to very hot with haze in the upper Thailand while the southerly winds prevail covers the upper country. Isolated thundershower with gusty winds are also forecast in the area. People should beware of the severe conditions. During 8 - 9 May, the moderate high-pressure system from China will extend to over upper Thailand and the South China Sea. Meanwhile, the southerly and southeasterly winds prevailing over the upper country will strengthen where hot to very hot weather occurs over the upper country. Outbreaks of summer storms accompanying with thunderstorms, gust and hail including lightning strike will begin in the eastern portions of the Northeast, then the rest regions. During 3 - 4 May, the easterly and southeasterly winds prevailing over the Gulf, the South and the Andaman Sea will weaken with isolated thundershowers. During 5 - 9 May, the westerly and the southwesterly winds prevail across the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf with isolated thundershowers, while during 8 - 9 May, the strengthening low-pressure cell covers the lower Bay of Bengal and the Andaman Sea. The strengthening wind and waves in the Andaman sea are 1 - 2 meters high and about 2 meters high in thundershowers and offshore above 2 meters.
Caution
During 3 - 7 May, people should keep healthy due to hot and very hot weather. During 8 - 9 May, people in the upper country should beware of the severe condition by keeping off open-air, big trees and unsecured billboards. Avoid wearing metal decorations and using cell phone in thunderstorm. Farmers should prevent for crop and livestock damage.
