General Situation

The moderate high pressure system covers the upper Vietnam and the South China Sea. It is expected to covers upper Thailand and the South China Sea during 8-10 May. Meanwhile, the upper country has hot to very hot weather. In addition, the stronger southerly and southeasterly winds blow the humidoity from the Gulf and the South China Sea to the upper country. Outbreaks of summer storms are possible with thunderstorms, gusty winds, isolated hail and lightning strikes. People should beware of the severe condtions by keeping off outdoor places, big trees, unsecured buildings and billboards, as well as taking off metal decorations and mobiles during the events. Farmers should prevent for crop damage. In addition, During 8-14 May, the westerly and southwesterly winds across the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand will strengthening and the low-pressure cell over the lower Bay of Bengal lead to more rains in the South. In the Andaman Sea, the waves are about 1 meter high and in thundershowers more than 2 meter high.

Northern

Day hot with haze. Isolated thunderstorms with gusty winds and hail. mostly in Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Kalasin, Mukdahan, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen, Sisaket and Ubon Ratchathani. Minimum temperature 25-28 C. Maximum temperature 36-39 C. Southwesterly winds 10-20 km/hr.
Central
Day hot to very hot with haze. Isolated thundershowers with gusty winds mostly in Kanchanaburi and Ratchaburi. Minimum temperature 26-29 C. Maximum temperature 39-42 C. Southwesterly winds 10-20 km/hr.
Eastern
Day hot with haze and very hot in some place. Isolated thundershowers with gusty winds mostly in Prachinburi, Sa Kaeo, Chanthaburi and Trat. Minimum temperature 26-30 C. Maximum temperature 35-40 C. Southwesterly winds 10-30 km/hr. Wave height below 1 meter and above 1 meter in thundershowers.
Southern (East Coast)
Day hot. Isolated thundershowers mostly in Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Yala and Narathiwat. Minimum temperature 24-29 C. Maximum temperature 34-39 C. Southwesterly winds 10-30 km/hr. Wave height below 1 meter and above 1 meter in thundershowers.
Southern (West Coast)
Cloudy with scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Phangnga. Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun. Minimum temperature 24-27 C. Maximum temperature 33-35 C. Westerly 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and above 2 meters in thundershowers.
Bangkok Metropolitan
Day hot to very hot with haze. Isolated thundershowers with gusty winds. Minimum temperature 29-30 C. Maximum temperature 35-40 C. Southwesterly winds 10-20 km/hr.
