During 8 - 10 May, the moderate high-pressure system from China will extend to upper Thailand and the South China Sea. Meanwhile, the southerly and southeasterly winds bring the humidity from the South China Sea and the Gulf to the upper country where hot to very hot weather occurs. Outbreaks of summer storms accompanying with thunderstorms, gust and hail including lightning strike will be likely in the upper country. During 11 - 14 May the southerly wind and southeasterly prevails over upper Thailand with continuous rainfall and isolated heavy rains. In Addition, during 9 - 14 May, the low-pressure cell over the lower Bay of Bengal will be likely to develop into a tropical cyclone, it is expected to move to upper Bengal. For the South, the southeasterly wind prevails across the South and the Gulf and southwesterly winds prevail across the Andaman Sea with thundershowers in the South with isolated heavy rains. The strengthening wind and waves in the upper Andaman Sea about 2 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. In the lower Andaman Sea, the waves height 1 - 2 meters high in the lower Andaman Sea, above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
Caution
During 8 - 10 May, people in the upper country should beware of the severe condition by keeping off open-air, big trees and unsecured billboards. Avoid wearing metal decorations and using cell phone in thunderstorm. Farmers should prevent for crop and livestock damage. During 11 - 14 May, people in Thailand should beware of heavy rains and accumulated rain that may be flashing floods and overflows. All ships in the Andaman Sea should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers, small boats in the Andaman Sea keep ashore during 9 - 14 May.
