During 23 - 24 May, the southwest monsoon prevails over upper Thailand with the low pressure cell covers upper Vietnam. Isolated heavy rains are likely in the Northeast and the East. Hot durind the day with gusty winds. During 25 - 29 May, the southwest monsoon prevailing over the upper country will strengthen while during 27 - 29 May, the low pressure cell over the coastal area of middle Vietnam and the middle South China Sea is expected to move to Laos and Cambodia. More rain and isolated heavy rains are likely over the country with isolated heavy rain as well as very heavy rain is likely in the East. During 23 - 26 May, the moderate southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf with isolated heavy rain. The waves in the Andaman Sea are 1 - 2 meters and above 2 meters in while the waves in the Gulf are about 1 meter and 1 - 2 meters offshore. During 27 - 29 May, the southwest monsoon will strengthen with more rain and isolated heavy rain. The wind and waves in the Andaman Sea will strengthen with 2 - 3 meters.
Caution
People in the upper country should beware of heavy rains. People in the South should beware of heavy rains and its accumulations. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. During 26 - 29 May, small boats should keep ashore.
