General Situation

The southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf while the low-pressure cell covers upper Vietnam and the Gulf of Tonkin. Thundershowers with gusty wind and hot during the day are likely in the country. Isolated thundershowers are likely in the North, the Northeast and the East regions. People should beware of severe conditions and keep healthy due to the weather is changing. In the Andaman Sea, the waves are 1?2 meters high and more than 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. In addition, During 27?30 May, the southwest monsoon which prevails across the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf is stronger while the low pressure cell over the coastal area of middle Vietnam is expected to move pass the country to the gulf of Mataban. More rain are likely over the country with isolated heavy to very heavy rains. The wind and waves in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf will strengthen with 2-3 meters and above 3 meters in thundershowers in the Andaman Sea. The wave in the Gulf are 1-2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershowers.

Northeastern
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rains with gusty wind in Loei, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Udon Thani, Nong Bua Lamphu, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Khon Kaen, Chaiyaphum, Kalasin, Mukdahan, Roi Et, Yasothon and Nakhon Ratchasima. Day hot. Minimum temperature 23-26 C. Maximum temperature 33-37 C. Southwesterly winds 10-20 km/hr.
Central
Isolated thundershowers with gusty wind mostly in Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Sing Buri, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Lopburi, Saraburi, Kanchanaburi and Ratchaburi. Day hot. Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 36-38 C. Southwesterly winds 10-20 km/hr.
Eastern
Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains with gusty wind in Prachin Buri, Sa Kaeo, Chachoengsao, Chonburi, Chanthaburi and Trat. Minimum temperature 23-28 C. Maximum temperature 31-37 C. Southwesterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and more than 2 meters in thundershowers.
Southern (East Coast)
Isolated thundershowers in the afternoon to evening mostly in Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung and Songkhla. Minimum temperature 24-27 C. Maximum temperature 35-37 C. Southwesterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and more than 2 meters in thundershowers.
Southern (West Coast)
Scattered thundershowers mostly in Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket, Krabi and Trang. Minimum temperature 23-27 C. Maximum temperature 32-34 C. Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and more than 2 meters in thundershowers.
Bangkok Metropolitan
Scattered thundershowers with gust wind mostly in the afternoon to evening. Day hot. Minimum temperature 25-29 C. Maximum temperature 34-38 C. Southwesterly winds 10-20 km/hr.
