General Situation

The monsoon trough lies across Myanmar, the North and the upper Northeast into the low pressure cell over the middle South China Sea. At the same time, the active low-pressure cell covers the coast of Myanmar while the rather strong southwest monsoon across the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand. More thundershowers are forecast with isolated heavy rains over the country while isolated very heavy rain are likely in the Northeast, the East and the South (west coast). People should beware of severe conditions that may cause flash floods and overflows, especially, along foothills near waterways and lowlands. The rather strong wind forces the waves in the upper Andaman Sea up to 2-3 meters high and in thundershowers more than 3 meters high. In the lower Andaman Sea and in the upper Gulf, the waves are likely about 2 meters high and in thundershowers more than 2 meters high. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. Small boats in the upper Andaman Sea keep ashore.

Northern

Northeastern
Fairly widespread thundershowers with isolated heavy to very heavy rains in Loei, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Nong Bua Lamphu, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Khon Kaen, Chaiyaphum, Nakhon Ratchasima, Maha Sarakham, Kalasin, Mukdahan, Roi Et, Yasothon and Amnat Charoen. Minimum temperature 23-26 C. Maximum temperature 27-34 C. Southwesterly winds 10-20 km/hr.
Central
Scattered thundershowers mostly in Uthai Thani, Chainat, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Suphanburi, Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi and Nakhon Pathom. Minimum temperature 26-27 C. Maximum temperature 34-36 C. Southwesterly winds 10-20 km/hr.
Eastern
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rains in Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Sa Kaeo, Chachoengsao, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat. Minimum temperature 25-29 C. Maximum temperature 30-35 C. Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr. Wave height about 2 meters and more than 2 meters in thundershowers.
Southern (East Coast)
Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat. Minimum temperature 24-27 C. Maximum temperature 32-34 C. Surat Thani northwards : Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr. Wave height about 2 meters and more than 2 meters in thundershowers. Nakhon Si Thammarat northwards : Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and more than 2 meters in thundershowers.
Southern (West Coast)
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rains in Ranong, Phangnga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun. Minimum temperature 25-27 C. Maximum temperature 31-32 C. Phuket northwards : Southwesterly winds 20-40 km/hr. Wave height 2-3 meters and more than 3 meters in thundershowers. Krabi southwards : Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr. Wave height about 2 meters and more than 2 meters in thundershowers.
Bangkok Metropolitan
Scattered thundershowers mostly in the afternoon to the evening. Minimum temperature 26-28 C. Maximum temperature 33-36 C. Southwesterly winds 10-20 km/hr.
