General Situation

The strong monsoon trough lies across Myanmar, the North and the upper Northeast of Thailand into the low-pressure cell over the the southern China coast and Gulf of Tonkin while the active low-pressure cell covers the coast of Myanmar. At the same time, the rather strong southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf of Thailand. Continuous rains are forecast in the country and isolated heavy to very heavy rains are possible in the North, the Northeast, the Central, the East and the South. People should beware of severe conditions that may cause flash floods and overflows, especially, along foothills near waterways and lowlands. The rather strong wind forces the waves in the upper Andaman Sea up to 2-3 meters high, above 3 meters high in thundershowers and about 2 meters high in the lower Andaman Sea, above 2 meters high in thundershowers. In the upper Gulf, the waves are likely 1-2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. Small boats in the upper Andaman Sea keep ashore lasting 11 June 2023.

Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Lamphun, Lampang, Nan, Phrae, Uttaradit, Sukhothai, Tak, Phitsanulok and Phetchabun. Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 30-35 C. Variable winds 10-20 km/hr.

Northeastern

Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rains in Loei, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Nong Bua Lamphu, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Khon Kaen, Kalasin, Mukdahan, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen and Ubon Ratchathani. Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 31-35 C. Southwesterly winds 10-25 km/hr.

Central

Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Lopburi, Saraburi, Kanchanaburi and Ratchaburi. Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 34-36 C. Southwesterly winds 10-25 km/hr.

Eastern

Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rains in Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat. Minimum temperature 24-28 C. Maximum temperature 28-34 C. Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr. Wave height about 2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershowers.

Southern (East Coast)

Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon and Surat Thani. Minimum temperature 24-27 C. Maximum temperature 33-35 C. Surat Thani northwards: Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershowers. Nakhon Si Thammarat northwards: Southwesterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and above 2 meters in thundershowers.

Southern (West Coast)

Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rains in Ranong, Phangnga, Phuket and Krabi. Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 29-33 C. Krabi northwards: Southwesterly winds 20-40 km/hr. Wave height 2-3 meters and above 3 meters in thundershowers. Trang southwards: Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershowers.

Bangkok Metropolitan

Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rains. Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 32-36 C. Southwesterly winds 10-25 km/hr.
