During 19 - 23 Jun, the moderate southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. Meanwhile, the low pressure cell covers upper Vietnam and the Gulf of Tonkin with isolated heavy rain remain in the North, the Northeast and the East. During 24 - 25 Jun, the monsoon trough will lie across the upper North and the upper Northeast into the low pressure cell over upper Vietnam and the Gulf of Tonkin. More rains are likely in the country and isolated heavy rains are possible in the North, the Northeast, the East regions and the South (west coast). The moderate wind and waves in the upper Andaman Sea are 1 - 2 meters high, above 2 meters high in thundershowers and about 1 meter high in the lower Andaman Sea and the Gulf, 1 - 2 meters high in thundershowers.
Caution
During 24 - 25 Jun, people in Thailand should beware of heavy rains that may causes flashflood and overflows. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers throughout the period.
