During 21 - 27 June 2023
During 22 - 23 Jun, the southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf will weaken while the low-pressure cell covers upper Vietnam and the Gulf of Tonkin with thundershowers in the country. During 24 - 25 Jun, the monsoon trough will lie across Myanmar and upper Laos into the low-pressure cell over upper Vietnam and the Gulf of Tonkin. After that, during 26 - 27 Jun, the monsoon trough will move down to the North and the upper Northeast of Thailand into the low-pressure cell over upper Vietnam and the Gulf of Tonkin Meanwhile, the southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea and the South will strengthen. More rains are likely in the country and isolated heavy rains are possible in the North, the Central, the East , the South and very heavy rains are possible in the Northeast. The moderate wind and waves in the upper Andaman Sea are 1 - 2 meters high, above 2 meters high in thundershowers and about 1 meter high in the lower Andaman Sea and the Gulf, 1 - 2 meters high in thundershowers.
Caution
During 24 - 27 Jun, people in Thailand should beware of heavy rains that may causes flashflood and overflows, especially, along foothills near waterways and lowlands. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers throughout the period.
