Weather Outlook During 7 ? 13 July 2023
The moderate southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf while the low-pressure cell covers upper Vietnam throughout the period with thundershowers in the country and isolated heavy rains in some area. During 8 ? 9 July, the easterly wave will move to cover the lower Northeast, the East, the Central including Bangkok and its vicinity, the East and the South causes more rains and isolated heavy rains are likely in some area. The moderate winds and waves in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf are about 1 meter and above 2 meters in thundershowers throughout the period.
Caution
During 8 - 9 Jul, People in Thailand should beware of heavy rains and accumulations that may cause flashflood and overflows, especially, along foothills near water ways and lowlands. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers throughout the period.
