During 31 Jul - 3 Aug, the moderate monsoon trough will move down to lie across the upper North, upper Laos and upper Vietnam into the low-pressure cell over the Guft of Tonkin. Meanwhile, the rather strong southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. More rain are likely in the overall country. Isolated heavy rains are likely in the Northern, Northeast, the Central including Bangkok Metropolitan Region and the South while isolated very heavy rains are possible in the North, the East and the South (west coast). The rather strong wind forces the waves in the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf up to 2 - 3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers while 1-2 meters high in the lower Andaman Sea and the lower Gulf and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. During 4 - 6 Aug, the moderate southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. The monsoon trough will move up to lie across Myanmar, upper Laos and upper Vietnam. Less rain and isolated heavy rains are likely over the country. The moderate wind forces the waves in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf up to about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.

People in Thailand should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and accumulations that may cause flash floods and overflows, especially, along water ways and lowland. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers throughout the period, small boats in the upper Andaman and the upper Gulf keep ashore During 31 Jul - 3 Aug.
