General Situation

The rather strong southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. Meanwhile, the moderate monsoon trough lies across northern Thailand and upper Laos into the low-pressure cell over the coast of upper Vietnam and the Gulf of Tonkin. Continuous rains are likely in the country and isolated heavy rain are likely in the North, the East and the South (west coast) while isolated very heavy rains are possible in the Northeast. People should beware of the severe conditions that may cause flash floods and overflows, especially along foothills near waterways and lowlards. In the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf, waves are 2-3 meters high and more than 3 meters high in thundershowers while the lower Andaman Sea and the lower Gulf has waves 1-2 meters high and more than 2 meters in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers, and small boats in the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf keep ashore by 1?2 days. In addition, Typhoon KHANUN over the Pacific Ocean is expected to move near southern Okinawa province, Japan and the upper part of Republic of China (Taiwan), China during 2 - 3 Aug 2023.

Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lamphun, Lampang, Phayao, Phrae, Nan, Uttaradit, Tak and Phitsanulok. Minimum temperature 24-26 ?C. Maximum temperature 29-36 ?C. Southwesterly winds 10-20 km/hr.
Northeastern
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rains in Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Kalasin, Mukdahan, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen, Sisaket and Ubon Ratchathani. Minimum temperature 23-26 ?C. Maximum temperature 28-37 ?C. Southwesterly winds 10-25 km/hr.
Central
Scattered thundershowers mostly in Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Chai Nat, Lop Buri, Saraburi, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Kanchanaburi and Ratchaburi. Minimum temperature 24-27 ?C. Maximum temperature 34-37 ?C. Southwesterly winds 10-25 km/hr.
Eastern
Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Chanthaburi and Trat. Minimum temperature 25-28 ?C. Maximum temperature 31-34 ?C. Southwesterly winds 20-40 km/hr. Wave height 2?3 meters and in thundershowers more than 3 meters.
Southern (East Coast)
Scattered thundershowers mostly in Phetchaburi, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat. Minimum temperature 24-27 ?C. Maximum temperature 32-36 ?C. Surat Thani northwards: Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr. Wave height about 2 meters and more than 2 meters in thundershowers. Nakhon Si Thammarat southwards: Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters offshore.
Southern (West Coast)
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket and Krabi. Minimum temperature 24-27 ?C. Maximum temperature 31-34 ?C. Phuket upwards : Southwesterly winds 20-40 km/hr. Wave height 2-3 meters and in thundershowers more than 3 meters. Krabi downwards : Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and more than 2 meters in thundershowers.
Bangkok Metropolitan
Scattered thundershowers. Minimum temperature 27-28 ?C. Maximum temperature 32-35 ?C. Southwesterly winds 10-25 km/hr.
