General Situation

The moderate southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. Meanwhile, the low-pressure cell over the coast of upper Vietnam and the Gulf of Tonkin. Continuous rains are likely in the country and isolated heavy rain are likely in the North and the East while isolated very heavy rains are possible in the Northeast. People should beware of the severe conditions that may cause flash floods and overflows, especially along foothills near waterways and lowlards. In the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf, waves are about 2 meters high and more than 2 meters high in thundershowers while the lower Andaman Sea and the lower Gulf has waves 1-2 meters high and more than 2 meters in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers, and small boats in the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf keep ashore. In addition, Typhoon ?KHANUN? over the northeastern part of Republic of China (Taiwan) is expected to move near southern of Japan during 5-7 August 2023.

Northeastern
Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rains in Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Kalasin, Mukdahan, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen, Buriram, Surin, Sisaket and Ubon Ratchathani. Minimum temperature 23-26 C. Maximum temperature 28-36 C. Southwesterly winds 10-25 km/hr.
Central
Scattered thundershowers mostly in Kanchanaburi, Uthai Thani, Ratchaburi, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Songkhram and Samut Sakhon. Minimum temperature 24-27 C. Maximum temperature 33-36 C. Southwesterly winds 10-25 km/hr.
Eastern
Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Sa Kaeo, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat. Minimum temperature 24-28 C. Maximum temperature 30-33 C. Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr. Wave height about 2 meters and in thundershowers more than 2 meters.
Southern (East Coast)
Scattered thundershowers mostly in Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon Surat Thani, Pattani and Narathiwat. Minimum temperature 24-28 C. Maximum temperature 33-36 C. Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters offshore.
Southern (West Coast)
Scattered thundershowers mostly in Ranong, Phang Nga, Trang and Satun. Minimum temperature 24-27 C. Maximum temperature 31-34 C. Phuket upwards : Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr. Wave height about 2 meters and in thundershowers more than 2 meters. Krabi downwards : Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and more than 2 meters in thundershowers.
Bangkok Metropolitan
Scattered thundershowers. Minimum temperature 26-28 C. Maximum temperature 33-35 C. Southwesterly winds 10-25 km/hr.
