During 4 - 7 Aug, the moderate southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. Meanwhile, the coast of upper Vietnam and the Gulf of Tonkin. Isolated heavy rains remain in the North, the Northeast and the East. During 8 - 10 Aug, the monsoon trough will lie across the upper Myanmar and the upper Vietnam. Meanwhile, the moderate southwest monsoon remains prevailing over the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf. Rains are likely in the whole country and isolated heavy rains remains in the North, the east and the South (west coast). The moderate wind forces the waves in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf. The wave in the upper Andaman Sea up to about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers while the Gulf of Thailand and the lower Andaman Sea waves 1 - 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
Caution
People in the upper North and the Northeast should beware of heavy rains and accumulations that may cause flash floods and overflows, especially, along water ways and lowland. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers throughout the period.
