General Situation

The moderate southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf, and the low-pressure cell covers upper Vietnam and southern China. This brings about thundershowers likely in the country mostly in the western part of Thailand and isolated heavy rains are possible in the North and the upper Northeast. People should beware of the severe conditions that may cause flash floods and overflows, especially along foothills near waterways and lowlards. In the upper Andaman Sea, waves are about 2 meters high and more than 2 meters high in thundershowers while the lower Andaman Sea and the Gulf has waves 1-2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. In addition, severe tropical storm KHANUN over Pacific Ocean, is expected to move through southern Japan and the Korea Strait during 8 - 10 August.

Northeastern
Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Sakon Nakhon and Nakhon Phanom. Minimum temperature 23-26 C. Maximum temperature 27-36 C. Southwesterly winds 10-25 km/hr.
Central
Isolated thundershowers mostly in Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Songkhram and Samut Sakhon. Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 33-35 C. Southwesterly winds 10-25 km/hr.
Eastern
Scattered thundershowers mostly in Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Sa Kaeo, Chanthaburi and Trat. Minimum temperature 24-28 C. Maximum temperature 31-35 C. Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and more than 2 meters in thundershowers.
Southern (East Coast)
Scattered thundershowers mostly in Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat. Minimum temperature 23-27 C. Maximum temperature 33-36 C. Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and more than 2 meters in thundershowers.
Southern (West Coast)
Scattered thundershowers mostly in Phang Nga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun. Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 29-33 C. Ranong upwards : Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr. Wave height about 2 meters and in thundershowers more than 2 meters. Phangnga downwards : Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and more than 2 meters in thundershowers.
Bangkok Metropolitan
Isolated thundershowers. Mostly during the afternoon and evening. Minimum temperature 26-28 C. Maximum temperature 33-36 C. Southwesterly winds 10-25 km/hr.
