General Situation

The moderate southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf, and the low-pressure cell covers upper Vietnam and southern China. This brings about thundershowers likely in the country mostly in the western part of Thailand and isolated heavy to very heavy rains are possible in the North, isolated heavy rains are possible in the upper Northeast, the East and the South. People should beware of the severe conditions that may cause flash floods and overflows, especially along foothills near waterways and lowlards. In the Andaman Sea and the Gulf has waves 1-2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. In addition, severe tropical storm KHANUN over Pacific Ocean, is expected to move through southern Japan and the Korea Strait during 8 - 10 August.

Northeastern
Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Sakon Nakhon and Nakhon Phanom. Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 30-35 C. Southwesterly winds 10-25 km/hr.
Central
Isolated thundershowers mostly in Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Songkhram and Samut Sakhon. Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 32-36 C. Southwesterly winds 10-25 km/hr.
Eastern
Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Chanthaburi and Trat. Minimum temperature 24-28 C. Maximum temperature 32-34 C. Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and more than 2 meters in thundershowers.
Southern (East Coast)
Scattered thundershowers mostly in Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat. Minimum temperature 23-27 C. Maximum temperature 32-35 C. Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and more than 2 meters in thundershowers.
Southern (West Coast)
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Phang Nga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun. Minimum temperature 25-26 C. Maximum temperature 31-33 C. Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and more than 2 meters in thundershowers.
Bangkok Metropolitan
Scattered thundershowers. Mostly during the afternoon and evening. Minimum temperature 27-29 C. Maximum temperature 32-34 C. Southwesterly winds 10-25 km/hr.
