During 9 - 11 Aug, the low pressure cell covers upper Vietnam. Meanwhile, the moderate southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. resulting isolated heavy rains remain in the North, the Northeast and the South (west coast). the Andaman Sea and the Gulf. The wave in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf can reach 1 - 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers area. During 12 - 15 Aug, the moderate monsoon trough will lies upper of the North and upper Laos into the low-pressure cell over upper Vietnam. Meanwhile, the southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf will be strengthen. More rains are likely in the country and isolated heavy rains are possible in the Northeast, the Central and the South (east coast) regions while isolated very heavy rains are in the North, the East and the South (west coast) regions. The wind forces the waves in the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf up to about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers while 1 - 2 meters high in the lower Andaman Sea and lower Gulf while above 2 meters high in thundershowers area.
Caution
During 12 - 13 Aug, People in the North, the Northeast, the East and the South should beaware of heavy rains and accumulations that can cause flash floods and surface runoff, especially, along water ways and lowland. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers area throughout the period.
