During 4 ? 5 Sep, the strong monsoon trough lie across the North and the Northeast of Thailand. Meanwhile, the rather strong southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea, the Central, the East, the South and the Gulf. Continuous rainfalls and isolated heavy rains are likely in the country and isolated very heavy rains are possible in the East and the South (west coast). The rather strong wind forces the waves in the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf up to 2 ? 3 meters high and above 3 meters in thundershowers. In the lower Andaman Sea and the lower Gulf, the wave has 1 - 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. During 6 ? 10 Sep , the monsoon trough will move up to lie across the North, the upper Northeast and upper Laos. Meanwhile, the southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, the lower Northeast, the Central, the East, the South and the Gulf will weaken. Thundershowers and isolated heavy rains are likely in the North, the Central and the South while isolated very heavy rains are possible in the Northeast and the East. The moderates wind and waves in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf are 1 - 2 meters high and above 2 meters in thundershowers. Severe tropical storm ?HAIKUI? over the upper South China Sea is expected to make landfall over southeastern of China during 5?6 September. This storm has no direct effect on Thailand. Caution
People in Thailand should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and its accumulation that may cause flash floods and overflows, especially along foothills near waterways and lowlands throughout the period. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers throughout the period and small boats in the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf keep ashore lasting 5 Sep.
