The moderate southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf. Isolated heavy rains are likely in the country and isolated very heavy rains are possible in the North, the Northeast, the Central including Bangkok and its vicinity and the East. The moderate wind and wave in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf are 1 - 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. During 8 ? 10 Oct, the monsoon trough will move down to lie across the lower North, the Central, the East, the lower Northeast and the upper South while the moderate high-pressure system from China will extend to over the Northeast and the South China Sea. In addition, the southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf. Continuous rainfalls with gusty wind and isolated heavy to very heavy rains are likely in the country. Typhoon ?KOINU? over Pacific Ocean is likely to move through Republic of China and the upper South China Sea during 4 ? 5 Oct. It is expected to move near the coast of southeastern of China during 6 ? 8 Oct. This storm has no direct effect on Thailand.
Caution
People in Thailand should beware of gusty winds, heavy to very heavy rains and accumulations that may cause flash floods and overflows, especially along foothills near waterways and lowlands and beware of severe conditions by keeping off an open area, big trees and unsecured billboards. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers.
