General Situation

The monsoon trough lies across the lower North, the Central and the Northeast while the low-pressure cell covers the upper Central. At the same time, the southwest monsoon remains across the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand. Isolated heavy rains are likely in the country and isolated very heavy rains are possible in the North and the Central. People should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and accumulations that may cause flash floods and overflows, especially along foothills near waterways and lowlands. All transport take more caution. The waves in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf are 1-2 meters high and more than 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. In addition, Typhoon ?KOINU? over the upper South China Sea, is expected to move near the coast of southeastern China from 6 to 8 October 2023 and then weaken. This storm has no direct effect on Thailand?s weather.

Northern
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rains in Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lamphun, Lampang, Tak, Sukhothai, Kamphaeng Phet, Phitsanulok, Phichit and Phetchabun. Minimum temperature 23-26 C. Maximum temperature 31-35 C. Variable winds 5-15 km/hr.
Northeastern
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen, Kalasin, Mukdahan, Maha Sarakham and Nakhon Ratchasima. Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 31-33 C. Variable winds 10-20 km/hr.
Central
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rains in Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Chainat, Suphanburi, Kanchanaburi, Lopburi, Saraburi, Ratchaburi, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Songkhram and Samut Sakhon. Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 32-33 C. Variable winds 10-20 km/hr.
Eastern
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Chachoengsao, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat. Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 29-33 C. Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and more than 2 meters in thundershowers.
Southern (East Coast)
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Phetchaburi, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Yala and Narathiwat. Minimum temperature 23-26 C. Maximum temperature 32-35 C. Surat Thani upwards : Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and more than 2 meters in thundershowers. Nakhon Si Thammarat downwards : Southwesterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and 1-2 meters in thundershowers.
Southern (West Coast)
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket, Krabi and Trang. Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 27-32 C. Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and more than 2 meters in thundershowers.
Bangkok Metropolitan
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rains. Minimum temperature 25-26 C. Maximum temperature 31-33 C. Southwesterly winds 10-20 km/hr.
