General Situation

The monsoon trough lies across the North and the lower Northeast. At the same time, the southwest monsoon remains across the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. Isolated heavy rains are likely in the country and isolated very heavy rains are possible in the North and the Northeast. People should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and accumulations that may cause flash floods and overflows, especially along foothills near waterways and lowlands. All transport take more caution. The waves in the upper Andaman Sea and the Gulf are likely about 1 meter high and more than 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. In addition, Typhoon ?KOINU? has downgraged to severe tripicla sotorm, expected to move pass Hainan island into the gulf of Tonkin during 10?11 October 2023 with the continuously weakening. This storm has no direct effect on Thailand?s weather.

Northern
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rains in Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Lamphun, Lampang, Phrae, Nan, Tak, Sukhothai, Kamphaeng Phet, Uttaradit, Phitsanulok, Phichit and Phetchabun. Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 30-33 C. Variable winds 5-15 km/hr.
Northeastern
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rains in Loei, Nong Bua Lamphu, Nong Khai, Udon Thani, Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen, Kalasin, Mukdahan, Maha Sarakham, Roi Et, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, Surin, Sisaket and Ubon Ratchathani. Minimum temperature 21-24 C. Maximum temperature 30-33 C. Variable winds 10-20 km/hr.
Central
Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Lopburi, Saraburi, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Nakhon Pathom and Samut Sakhon. Minimum temperature 24-25 C. Maximum temperature 32-33 C. Variable winds 10-20 km/hr.
Eastern
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Chachoengsao, Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat. Minimum temperature 23-27 C. Maximum temperature 31-33 C. Southwesterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and more than 2 meters in thundershowers.
Southern (East Coast)
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat. Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 33-34 C. Southwesterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and more than 2 meters in thundershowers.
Southern (West Coast)
Scattered thundershowers mostly in Ranong, Phang Nga and Phuket. Minimum temperature 24-25 C. Maximum temperature 31-34 C. Southwesterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and more than 2 meters in thundershowers.
Bangkok Metropolitan
Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains. Minimum temperature 25-26 C. Maximum temperature 32-34 C. Southwesterly winds 10-20 km/hr.
