General Situation

The monsoon trough lies across the lower North, the Central and the Eeast regions while another moderate high pressure system coves northeastern Thailand and the South China Sea. Meanwhile, the southwest monsoon remains across the Andaman Sea and the Gulf. Isolated heavy rains with gusty winds are likely in the country and very heavy rains are possible some of the North. People should beware of the severe condition that may cause flash floods and overflows, especially along foothills near waterways and lowlands. All transport take more caution. The waves in the upper Andaman Sea and the Gulf are likely about 1 meter high and more than 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. On 10 October, depression KOINU over the coast of southern China will move pass Hainan into Tonkin Gulf then weaken with no direct effect on Thailand?s weather.

Northern
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rains in Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Lamphun, Lampang, Tak, Sukhothai, Kamphaeng Phet, Uttaradit, Phitsanulok, Phichit and Phetchabun. Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 28-32 C. Variable winds 5-15 km/hr.
Northeastern
Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rains in Loei, Nong Bua Lamphu, Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen, Nakhon Ratchasima and Buriram. Minimum temperature 22-25 C. Maximum temperature 27-33 C. Easterly winds 10-20 km/hr.
Central
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rains with gusty winds in Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Kanchanaburi, Lopburi, Saraburi, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Ratchaburi, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Songkhram and Samut Sakhon. Minimum temperature 23-26 C. Maximum temperature 31-34 C. Variable winds 10-20 km/hr.
Eastern
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rains with gusty winds in Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Chachoengsao, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat. Minimum temperature 23-27 C. Maximum temperature 30-34 C. Southwesterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and more than 2 meters in thundershowers.
Southern (East Coast)
Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Yala and Narathiwat. Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 32-34 C. Southwesterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and more than 2 meters in thundershowers.
Southern (West Coast)
Scattered thundershowers mostly in Ranong, Phang Nga, Krabi and Trang. Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 31-34 C. Southwesterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and more than 2 meters in thundershowers.
Bangkok Metropolitan
Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains. Minimum temperature 25-27 C. Maximum temperature 31-34 C. Southwesterly winds 10-20 km/hr.
