During 18 ? 19 Oct, the high-pressure system remains cover the upper Thailand while the monsoon trough lies across the upper South, the East, and the Gulf into Tropical depression over the middle South China Sea. The southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf. More rain is likely in the South with isolated heavy rains in some places. During 20 ? 24 Oct, another high-pressure system from China will extend to upper Thailand and the South China Sea, leading to thundershowers for the first period. The monsoon trough moves to lie across the lower South. More rain is still likely in the South with isolated heavy to very heavy rain mostly in the lower part. The southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf. The wave in the Andaman and the Gulf are about 1 meter high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.

People in the South should beware of gusty winds, heavy to very heavy rains and accumulations that may cause flash floods and overflows, especially along foothills near waterways and lowlands.
