Weather Outlook During 25 - 31 October 2023
During 25 - 28 Oct, The weak high-pressure system covers upper Thailand and the South China Sea while the easterly and the southeasterly winds bring the humidity from the South China Sea and the Gulf to the Northeast, the East, the Central including Bangkok and its vicinity. At the same time, the monsoon trough lies across the South while the southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf. More rains and isolated heavy rains are likely in the south. During 29 - 31 Oct, The another high-pressure system from China will extend to upper Thailand and the South China Sea. Meanwhile, the easterly and the northeasterly wind prevail over the Gulf and the South. Thundershowers and isolated gusty winds are likely in the upper country at the first period and more rains with isolated heavy rains are possible in the South. The waves in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf are about 1 meter high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers throughout the period. In addtion, Tropical depression HAMOON over southern Bangladesh is expected to dowgrade to an active low-pressure cell, respectively. This storm has no direct effect on Thailand?s weather.
Caution
People should beware of heavy rains and accumulations that may cause flash floods and overflows, especially along foothills near waterways and lowlands, all transport take more caution throughout the period. During 29 - 30 Oct, People in the upper Thailand should beware of the severe condition, gusty winds and strikes by keeping off outdoor places, big trees and unsecured billboards. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers throughout the period.
