General Situation

Another moderated high-pressure system from China covers to upper Vietnam and the South China Sea. It is expected cover to the Northeast of Thailand by today (24 Nov 2023), affecting a decrease in temperatures by 1-2 C and strong winds in the Northeast and still morning cool in the North, the Central and the East.People should keep healthy and beware of fire due to dry air. the northeast monsoon prevailing over the Gulf and the South will strengthen. The active low-pressure cell over the lower South China Sea is expected to move to The Gulf with isolated heavy rains in the lower South (east coast). The strengthening wind force the waves up to 2-3 meters high in the lower Gulf and above 3 meters high in thundershowers while 1 - 2 meters high in the upper Gulf and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. In the Andaman Sea, the waves are about 1 meter high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution, keep off thundershowers. People in the lower South should beware of the severe condition that may cause flash floods and overflows, especially along foothills near waterways and lowlands. Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rains in Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat. Minimum temperature 22-25 C. Maximum temperature 29-33 C. Chumphon upward : northeasterly winds 15 - 35 km/hr. Wave height 1 - 2 meter and above 2 meters in thundershowers. Surat Thani downward : easterly winds 20 - 40 km/hr. Wave height 2-3 meters and above 3 meters in thundershowers.
Southern (West Coast)
Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Krabi,Trang and Satun. Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 31-33 C. Northeasterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and above 2 meters in thundershowers.
Bangkok Metropolitan
Partly cloudy. Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 33-35 C. Northeasterly winds 10-20 km/hr.
