General Situation

The moderate high-pressure system covers upper Thailand and the South China Sea. Morning cool, a drop in temperature is likely in the upper country. People in the upper country should keep healthy. The rather strong northeast monsoon prevails over the lower Gulf and the lower South. Meanwhile, an active low-pressure cell over Malaca strait and Sumatra Island expected to move to the Andaman Sea with isolated heavy rains in the South. The rather strong wind force the waves up to 2-3 meters high in the lower Gulf and above 3 meters high in thundershowers while 1-2 meters high in the upper Gulf and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. In the Andaman Sea, the waves are about 1 meter high, 2-3 meters offshore and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. People in the lower South should beware of heavy rains that may cause flash floods and overflows, especially along foothills near waterways and lowlands. Residents along the coast beware of inshore surges. All ships should proceed with caution, keep off thundershowers and small boats in the lower Gulf should keep ashore.

Southern (East Coast)
Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat. Minimum temperature 22-27 C. Maximum temperature 27-34 C. Surat Thani upward : northeasterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershowers. Nakhon Si Thammarat downward : northeasterly winds 20-40 km/hr. Wave height 2-3 meters and above 3 meters in thundershowers.
Southern (West Coast)
Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun. Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 27-32 C. Northeasterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter, 2-3 meters offshore and above 3 meters in thundershowers.
Bangkok Metropolitan
Partly cloudy. A slight drop in temperature. Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 31-33 C. Northeasterly winds 10-30 km/hr.
