General Situation

The high-pressure system from China covers the Northeast and the South China Sea. Morning fog is likely in the upper country with morning cool remains in the North and the Northeast regions. People in the upper country should keep healthy due to the changeable weather and all transports take more cautions. The northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf and the South with isolated heavy rain in the lower South. The wind and waves in the lower Gulf are about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. In addition, during 17 - 19 Dec, another rather strong high-pressure system from China will extend to upper Thailand and the South China Sea. Isolated light rains are likely in the upper country for the first period following by decreasing in temperature with strong wind.

Eastern
Morning light fog and isolated rain. Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 34-36 C. Easterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter.
Southern (East Coast)
Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rain in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat. Minimum temperature 24-25 C. Maximum temperature 29-34 C. Nakhon Si Thammarat upward: easterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1 ? 2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershowers. Songkhla downward: easterly winds 20-35 km/hr. Wave height about 2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershowers.
Southern (West Coast)
Isolated thundershowers mostly in Krabi Trang and Satun. Minimum temperature 24-26 C. Maximum temperature 31-34 C. Easterly winds 10-30 km/hr. Wave below 1 meter and above 1 meter in thundershowers.
Bangkok Metropolitan
