General Situation

The rather strong high-pressure system extend to southern China, is expected to cover upper Vietnam and the upper South China Sea by today. It is forecast to cover the upper Northeast of Thailand by tomorrow (20 Dec). Morning cool to cold, a decrease in temperature by 1-2 C and strong wind are likely in the Northeast while cool in the morning is likely in the North, the Central and the East regions. On mountaintops of the North, cold to very cold and isolated frost is forecast while cold is forecast on mountaintops of the Northeast. The minimum temperature of the North mountaintops is in range of 6-14 C while the Northeast ranges by 10-15 C. People in the upper country should keep healthy due to cool to cold weather. The moderate northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf and the South with isolated thundershowers in the South. The wind and waves in the lower Gulf are about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers.

Central
Morning cool. Minimum temperature 22-23 C. Maximum temperature 33-35 C. Northeasterly winds 10-20 km/hr.
Eastern
Upper part : Morning cool. Lower part : Partly Cloudy. Minimum temperature 21-25 C. Maximum temperature 33-37 C. Northeasterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and 1-2 meters offshore.
Southern (East Coast)
Isolated thundershowers mostly in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat. Minimum temperature 23-26 C. Maximum temperature 30-34 C. Surat Thani upward : Northeasterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meter in thundershowers. Nakhon Si Thammarat downward : Easterly winds 20-35 km/hr. Wave height about 2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershowers.
Southern (West Coast)
Isolated thundershowers mostly in Trang and Satun. Minimum temperature 23-26 C. Maximum temperature 32-35 C. Easterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and above 1 meter in thundershowers.
Bangkok Metropolitan
Partly cloudy. Minimum temperature 23-26 C. Maximum temperature 33-35 C. Northeasterly winds 10-20 km/hr.
