General Situation

The strong high-pressure system from China extend to upper Thailand with cool to cold in the morning and a decrease in temperature by 1-3 C with strong winds in the country. On mountaintops of the North and the Northeast, cold to very cold and isolated frost is forecast. The minimum temperature of the North mountaintops is in range of 3-13 C while the Northeast ranges by 7-12 C. People in the country should keep healthy due to cool to cold weather and beware of fire due to strong winds and dry air. The moderate northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf and the South with isolated heavy rains in the lower South(east coast). The wind and waves in the Gulf are about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. In addition, an active low-pressure cell over the lower South China Sea will move pass the lower South of Thailand and Malaysia lead to isolated heavy to very heavy rains in the lower South. The strengthening northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf, the South and the Andaman Sea lead to the wind and waves in the Gulf and the Andaman Sea will strengthen during 22-25 December 2023.

Central
Morning cool with strong wind and 2-3 C drop in temperature. Minimum temperature 18-20 C. Maximum temperature 29-31 C. Northeasterly winds 10-30 km/hr.
Eastern
Morning cool with strong wind and 2-3 C drop in temperature. Minimum temperature 17-21 C. Maximum temperature 29-32 C. Northeasterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and about 2 meters offshore.
Southern (East Coast)
Upper part: Morning cool with strong wind and 1-3 C drop in temperature. Minimum temperature 20-25 C. Maximum temperature 29-33 C. Lower part: Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat. Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 31-33 C. Northeasterly winds 20-35 km/hr. Wave height about 2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershowers.
Southern (West Coast)
Isolated thundershowers mostly in Phuket, Krabi, Phangnga and Satun. Minimum temperature 23-26 C. Maximum temperature 31-34 C. Northeasterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and above 1 meter in thundershowers and 1-2 meter high offshore.
Bangkok Metropolitan
Morning cool with strong wind and 2-3 C drop in temperature. Minimum temperature 19-21 C. Maximum temperature 30-32 C. Northeasterly winds 10-30 km/hr.
