General Situation

The high-pressure system covers upper Thailand and the South China Sea will weaken with morning fog and 1-3 C rise in temperature while morning cool weather remains in the North and the Northeast. The easterly wind brings the moisture to the Central including Bangkok and its vicinity and the East regions with isolated light rains. People in the upper country should keep healthy and all transports should be caution due to poor visibility. The strong northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf and the South. Isolated heavy rains are likely in the lower South. People in the lower South should beware of the severe condition that may cause overflows, especially along foothills near waterways and lowlands. The strong wind forces the waves in the Gulf up to 2-4 meters high and above 4 meters high in thundershowers. In the Andaman Sea, the wave has meters 1?2 and above 2 meters offshore and above 3 meters in thundershowers. People along the South (east coast) shore should beware of inshore surges. All ships in the Gulf and the Andaman Sea should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. Small boats in the Gulf and the Andaman Sea should keep ashore on 27 December 2023.
