During 3 ? 5 Jan, another moderate high-pressure system from China extend to the Northeast of Thailand and the South China Sea and during 6 ? 7 Jan, another moderate high-pressure system from China will extend to the Northeast of Thailand and the South China Sea. A decrease in temperature by 1 - 2 C with strong wind are likely in the lower North, the Northeast, the Central and the East regions. On mountaintops of the North and the Northeast, cold to very cold and isolated frost is forecast. The minimum temperature of the North mountaintops is in range of 3 - 14 C while the Northeast ranges by 10 - 14 C. During 8 - 9 Jan, the another moderate high-pressure system covering upper Thailand and the South China Sea will weaken with 1 ? 2 C increase in temperature in the lower North, the Northeast, the Central and the East regions. Meanwhile, the northwesterly winds bring cool to cold weather from the Tibetan Plateau and Myanmar to the upper North of Thailand with 1 - 2 C decrease in temperature. On mountaintops of the North and the Northeast, cold to very cold and isolated frost is forecast. The minimum temperature of the North mountaintops is in range of 2 - 12 C while the Northeast ranges by 11 - 15 C. On 3 Jan, the northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf and the South with isolated thundershowers in the lower South. The moderate wind and waves in the lower Gulf are likely 1 - 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. During 4 - 9 Jan, the strengthening northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf and the South with more rains and isolated heavy rains in the lower South. The strengthening wind forces the waves up to about 2 meters high in the lower Gulf, 1-2 meters high in the upper Gulf and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.

People in the upper country should keep healthy due to morning cool to cold weather throughout the period and during 8 ? 9 Jan, all transport take more caution in poor visibility.
