During 10 ? 11 Jan, The weak high-pressure system covers the upper Northeast of Thailand and the South China Sea. Morning cool with fog are likely in the the upper country and the lower South. The northeast monsoon prevailing over the Gulf and the South is weakening with less rains and isolated thundershowers in the lower South. During 12 - 16 Jan, another moderate high pressure from China will extend to the Northeast and the South China Sea with the westerly trough will move pass the upper country. Thunderstormwith gusty wind and hail will be forecast for the first periods in The North and Northest before 1 ? 3 ?C drop in temperature are likely in the North and the Northeast while a slight drop of temperature is expected in the rest region except the South. On mountaintops of the North and the Northeast, cold to very cold are forecast. The minimum temperature of the North mountaintops is in range of 4 - 10 ?C while the Northeast ranges by 10 - 13 ?C. The northeast monsoon prevailing over the Gulf and the South will strengthen with more rain and isolated heavy rain in the lower South. The strengthening wind forces the waves in lower Gulf up to about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershower.
Caution
During 10 ? 11 Jan, all transport should take more caution in poor visibility. During 12 ? 16 Jan, people in the upper country should beware of thunderstorm, gusty winds and hails by keeping off outdoor places, big trees and unsecured billboards.
