General Situation

The weak high-pressure system covers the upper Northeast of Thailand and the South China Sea. Morning cool with fog are likely in the North and the Northeast. The upper country and the lower South are excepted with fog. People in the country should keep healthy due to change weather conditions. All transport take more caution in poor visibility. The northeast monsoon prevailing over the Gulf and the South is weakening with less rains and isolated thundershowers in the lower South. During 12-16 Jan, another moderate high-pressure system from China will extend to the Northeast of Thailand and the South China Sea with the westerly trough will move pass the upper country. Thunderstorm with gusty wind and hail will be forecast for the first periods in the whole area before and 1?3 ?C drop in temperature are likely in the North and Northest while a slightly drop in temperature is likely in the Central region and the East.

Eastern
Partly cloudy with morning fog. Minimum temperature 22-26 ?C. Maximum temperature 33-36 ?C. Easterly winds 10-30 km/hr. Wave below 1 meter and about 1 meter offshore.
Southern (East Coast)
Upper part: Morning cool with fog. Lower part: Isolated thundershowers mostly in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani and Narathiwat. Surat Thani upwards : Northeasterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave about 1 meter and above 1 meter high in thundershowers. Nakhon Si Thammarat downwards : Northeasterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. Minimum temperature 22-26 ?C. Maximum temperature 31-35 ?C.
Southern (West Coast)
Isolated thundershowers mostly in Phuket, Krabi and Trang. Minimum temperature 23-26 ?C. Maximum temperature 32-34 ?C. Northeasterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter, above 1 meter high in thundershowers and offshore.
Bangkok Metropolitan
Partly cloudy with morning fog. Minimum temperature 24-26 ?C. Maximum temperature 33-36 ?C. Southeasterly winds 10-15 km/hr.
