General Situation

The weak high-pressure system from China covers the Northeast of Thailand and the South China Sea, leading the southeasterly winds to bring the humidity from the South China Sea and the Gulf of Thailand prevail over the upper country with possible isolated light rains in some places. Morning cool with fog are likely in the North and the Northeast. The upper country and the lower South are excepted with fog. People in the country should keep healthy due to change weather conditions. All transport take more caution in poor visibility. The northeast monsoon prevailing over the Gulf and the South is weakening with less rains and isolated thundershowers in the lower South. During 13-16 Jan, another rather moderate high-pressure system from China will extend to the Northeast and the South China Sea while the westerly trough will move pass the upper Thailand caused Thunderstorm with gusty winds and hails will be likely in the North, the upper Northeast and the upper Central in the first period after that temperature will decrease and strong wind. A decrease in temperature by 1-3 ?C is likely in the North and the Northeast.

Isolated thundershowers mostly in Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung and Songkhla. Minimum temperature 23-25 ?C. Maximum temperature 31-36 ?C. Surat Thani upwards : Northeasterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave about 1 meter and above 1 meter high in thundershowers. Nakhon Si Thammarat downwards : Northeasterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
Southern (West Coast)
Isolated thundershowers mostly in Ranong, Phangnga and Krabi. Minimum temperature 23-25 ?C. Maximum temperature 33-35 ?C. Northeasterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter, above 1 meter high in thundershowers and offshore.
Bangkok Metropolitan
