During 13 - 18 Jan, another moderate high pressure from China will extend to the Northeast and the South China Sea result in easterly and southeasterly winds bring moisture from the South China Sea and the Gulf into the upper country during early days. While 13 ?17 Jan, the westerly trough from Mianmar will move pass the upper country. Thunderstorm with gusty wind and hail will be forecast for the North and Northest with 1 ? 3 ?C drop in temperature drop while a slight drop of temperature is expected in the Central and the East. On mountaintops of the North is expect to be cold to very cold, while cool to cold in the Northeast. The northeast monsoon prevailing over the lower Gulf and the South will strengthen with more rain and isolated heavy rain during 15 ?18 Jan. The strengthening wind waves in lower Gulf up to about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershower.
Caution
People in the upper country should beware of thunderstorm, gusty winds and hails by keeping off outdoor places, big trees and unsecured billboards. Farmer should prepare for crop's damage. During 15 ? 18 Jan, people in the lower eastern coast of the South should beware of heavy rains. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers throughout the period.
