Weather Outlook During 15 - 21 January 2024
During 15 - 17 Jan, the westerly trough cover the upper North and moderate high pressure covers the Northeast and the South China Sea. Thunderstorm with gusty wind and hail will be forecast for the upper North. The temperature in the Northest and the Central will drop 1 ? 2 C, while a slight drop of temperature is expected in the East. On mountaintops of the North is expect to be cold to very cold, while cool to cold in the Northeast. The northeast monsoon prevailing over the lower Gulf and the South will strengthen with more rain and isolated heavy rain during 15 ?18 Jan. The moderated wind waves in lower Gulf up to about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershower. During 18 - 21 Jan, the moderate high pressure will weaken with 1 ? 3 C rise in temperature in Northeast and East with morning fog. Meanwhile the westerly wind at the high altitude will cover the North and the upper Central with cool to cold and 2 ? 4 C drop. Morning cool is in the Central. The northeast monsoon prevailing over the lower Gulf and the South will weaken with less rain.
Caution
During 15 - 17 Jan, people in the upper North should beware of thunderstorm, gusty winds and hails by keeping off outdoor places, big trees and unsecured billboards. Farmer should prepare for crop's damage. During 15 ? 18 Jan, people in the lower eastern coast of the South should beware of heavy rains.
