General Situation

The another rather strong high pressure covers the south regions of China and the upper Vietnam. It will be extend to cover the Northeast of Thailand by 22 Jan. Morning cool to cold with windy and 2-4 C decrease in the Northeast while morning cool with windy and 1-3 C decrease in the East People in the country should keep healthy due to variable weather. The northeast monsoon prevailing over the Gulf and the South is strengthen with isolated thundershowers in the lower South. The wind and waves in the lower Gulf are 1-2 meters high and above 2 meter high in thundershowers. All ships in the lower Gulf should proceed with caustion and keep off thundershowers.

Northeastern
Morning cool to cold with windy and 2-4 C decrease in temperature. Minimum temperature 13-18 C. Maximum temperature 31-34 C. Cold on the mountain top. Minimum temperature 9-13 C. Northeasterly winds 10-25 km/hr.
Central
Morning cool with light fog. Minimum temperature 21-23 C. Maximum temperature 34-37 C. Easterly winds 10-20 km/hr.
Eastern
Morning cool with windy and 1-3 C decrease in temperature. Isolated light rains mostly in the sea coast. Minimum temperature 18-23 C. Maximum temperature 33-36 C. Northeasterly winds 10-30 km/hr. Wave below 1 meter and about 1 meter high in thundershowers and offshore.
Southern (East Coast)
Isolated thundershowers mostly in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla and Narathiwat. Minimum temperature 22-24 C. Maximum temperature 30-33 C. From Surat Thani upward : easterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and above 1 meter high in thundershowers. From Nakhon Si Thammarat downward : easterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
Southern (West Coast)
Isolated thundershowers mostly in Phangnga, Phuket, Krabi and Trang. Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 32-34 C. Easterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and above 1 meter high in thundershowers and offshore.
Bangkok Metropolitan
Morning light fog. Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 34-36 C. Easterly winds 10-20 km/hr.
